Coastal wolves form strong family bonds with the pack demonstrating strong communication, cooperation and community care. Despite their importance in a balanced ecosystem, British Columbia supports aerial wolf culls as part of a predator reduction program, reportedly in an effort to restore endangered caribou populations. The science isn’t clear, as habitat loss and climate change are also known to be factors negatively impacting caribou populations.
